How can I order your service?

Do you issue an invoice/receipt?

We will issue an invoice/receipt upon request. Please contact us if you need an invoice/receipt.

What payment methods do you accept?

At this time, we only accept payments through PayPal, which allows you to transact using your credit/debit card (or even online banking, depending on your country). You do not need to have a PayPal account to make payments. If you wish to pay by another method, you can let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Do your editors have relevant subject matter expertise?

We currently have editors from the fields of medicine, biology, engineering and social sciences. We will try to match you with an editor who is familiar with your field and its specialized vocabulary. However, proofreading is mainly about language and academic writing style, so it is possible to do it across disciplines. If you are still not convinced, you can send us a highly technical but poorly-written text of ~200 words, and we will offer you a free, no-obligation proofreading and editing by your assigned editor. This way, you can see for yourself whether the quality meets your expectations before placing an order.

Since your editors are researchers themselves, can I collaborate with them on my manuscript and add them as co-authors, in exchange for a discount/waiver of the editing fee?

This will be decided on a case-by-case basis. If your topic catches the attention of our editors and we are confident that they can make a significant intellectual contribution to your work, we will take the initiative to discuss the matter with you.

Why should I choose you?

There are three reasons why we believe we are better than other editing agencies:

  1. Qualification of our editors

Unlike many other agencies that employ PhD students or recent graduates as editors, our editors are all mid- to late-career PhDs who hold faculty positions in prestigious universities and have extensive experience in journal publishing and manuscript editing. They have also been extensively trained to not only correct basic grammar, but also to change sentence and paragraph structure to improve readability and sound native-like. We also have an internal quality control system where our editors regularly review each other's work to ensure high quality editing.

  1. Extent of editing

Despite the lower price, the extent of our editing is comparable to (if not more extensive than) that of the Advanced/Premium Editing Service offered by other agencies. We not only correct grammar and spelling mistakes, but also revise sentence structure and word choice to improve the overall readability of the paper. Basically, we treat your paper as our own and correct it as necessary and give you feedback on anything that needs to be done.

Do you provide a certificate of English editing?

Yes, we issue a certificate for all manuscripts that we edit.

What file format do you accept?

We prefer Microsoft Word because of its Track Changes feature, which allows you to easily see where we have made changes. However, we are happy to work with other file formats upon request.

Do you format references or check them for accuracy?

No, we do not format or check references. We focus only on the linguistic aspect.
